Regenerative agriculture in Idaho is transforming how we steward land and grow food. By focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and long-term sustainability, farmers and ranchers are building resilient systems that benefit ecosystems, rural communities, and future generations - while preserving the working lands that define Idaho's agricultural heritage.
Join us for a panel discussion on the evolving landscape of regenerative agriculture in Idaho, featuring three dynamic voices shaping the future of our land and food systems:
DAVID ANDERSON brings a deep-rooted connection to Idaho’s agricultural heritage, shaped by childhood days on his family’s Lemhi Valley ranch. With a 25-year career as a hydrogeologist and his current role as the Idaho Senior Program Manager at American Farmland Trust, David now leads efforts to protect working lands across the state. CHRISTINA TIERNEY, Regenerative Agriculture Network of Idaho’s Project Manager, is a passionate advocate for resilient food systems, agricultural land preservation, and equitable access to nutritious food. Her work centers on building sustainable communities through regenerative farming, seed sovereignty, and local food economies. MIGUEL VILLAFANA, a farmer and banking professional, offers a rare blend of financial expertise and hands-on agricultural experience. As VP and Senior Agricultural Relationship Manager at Zions Bank, Miguel supports Idaho’s farming community while managing his own 425-acre farm in Wilder with his wife, Camas.
